Everything happens for a reason. Every lesson I have learned about what it takes to be successful in life, what it means to be successful in life and what it is to lead others on their path to success, was taught to me by the team at martial arts. I have been training with this team since 17 years. During my training of martial arts with this class, I learned about honor, respect, integrity and giving back. All the while learning to defend me and making my mind strong. Strong spirit, strong body steers life to success.

In my fairly long-lasting association with this class, I have been witnessing a steady stream of students from various walks of life taking to martial arts and benefitting tremendously. The value adds that accrue to the students is striking. I have no qualms in emphasizing that TSMA is among the best institutions for martial arts and our instructor Ashwin is among the cream of martial artists. It is indeed providential that I have met a dedicated teacher like him. He is one incredibly talented instructor who can assimilate our aspiration, attitude, trepidation and limitation in no time. I want to thank master Ashwin for his hard work and dedication, it is evident that you have the true heart of a teacher. Thank you for your kind words and inspiration. Now I am looking forward to my journey to a black belt ranking.

In this mechanical life, we wish for peace of mind and good health. Sometimes we face a lot of problems in life. Sometimes we lose very valuable and important things and it hurts.

Do good, think good at every moment, Thank God always. Life is just a moment. Love it. Live it. Enjoy it.

EVERYTHING HAPPEN...
IT'S DIFFERENT

Balraj [ Black Belt ]

It has been almost 15 years since I took one of those momentous decisions in my life. l joined The School of Martial Arts (TSMA) on the 19th of August 1998. There has been no dearth of enrichment, excitement, and exuberance since then. I can recount with pride and joy the numerous milestones achieved in this Odyssey from the day I stepped into TSMA to the day I became a Black belt, the 27th of December 2003, to this blissful day when we stage the 3rd Black belt Ceremony.

In my fairly long-lasting association with this school, I have been witnessing a steady stream of students from various walks of life taking to martial arts and benefitting tremendously.

I hanker to be an eternal student of this School and learn as much as possible to better myself. This is not just a school that teaches martial arts. I am yet to come across an institution with this kind of cohesion, camaraderie and esprit de corps which are inimitable. This is certainly not the school to pander to the demands of the unscrupulous legion of laid back lads who are looking for a Black belt in weeks if not days. Our class demands years of utmost commitment intense effort and single-minded dedication of its students. We get exposed to different styles, different masters and imbibe the best of techniques by adopting an eclectic approach. Thus, only the best of the best eventually qualify for the Black belt.

One who has trained in our school can face any challenge in any facet of one's life valiantly. Our system is quite extensive and encompasses many different methods of training the body, externally and internally, often concurrently. The sheer rigor, discipline, and professionalism are exacting and exciting. One has to be a part of our system in order to experience that ineffable, true joy of learning. And all that learning coalesces to create flawless fitness - a sound body and a sound mind. I have personally experienced such astounding tranquility and vitality after a hearty workout.

We have our share of fun and frolic too in our class. We have had a whale of a time indulging in rock climbing, trekking, swimming, diving, canoeing and camping in the wild. The School of Martial Arts is simply different. A healthy, heady cocktail of a nerve-wracking regimen, mind-body synchronization, and serious fun! We work hard, We play hard. It offers an enchanting experience so unique which has only placed it in a class of its own.

IT'S DIFFERENT

Balraj [ Black Belt ]

I have been a Black Belt at the School of Martial Arts for the past 5 years.  The practice of Martial Arts has brought about a tremendous change in my outlook on life. When I started Martial Arts 9 years back, my goal was to become a Black Belt.  However, then, my idea of a Blackbelt was a master fighter who could participate and win competitions. Once a Black belt, my understanding of a Black Belt has changed. I believe that the Black Belt marks the beginning of a new phase in life where we dig deeper into our soul and learn to empty our mind while practicing.  I am very excited to be a part of the 2nd Black Belt ceremony and exhibit my combat level training in the double short stick.  This would not have been possible without the constant guidance and encouragement from my Master – Ashwin Naidu.  I am very thankful to him.

For the benefit of those who are interested, you need to know that:

  • Martial arts lets you discover yourself. You get to know your mind and your body; in other words, you get to know yourself completely.

  • It is the easy way to a healthy lifestyle. Martial arts will help improve your concentration and is the key to holistic health.

  • Making any form of exercise a part of your daily routine will enhance your productivity throughout the day and you feel less stressed.

Exercise leads to perfect health and wellness, mentally and spiritually. Just join the martial arts class and feel the power and enjoy the benefits.
